Cleveland Apple Chase Bike Race
Bicycles, apples, and a passport. Add in a map and some Fall weather to these ingredients and you have some good family fun. Specifically, you have the Cleveland Apple Chase Bike Race.
The Apple Chase Bike Race is a family event to be held in conjunction with the Cleveland Apple Festival on October 18th. Trailhead Bicycle Co. and BeCog (Bicycling Enthusiasts of Cleveland and Ocoee Group) have teamed up to offer a fun, family event that kids and adults can enjoy together. “I think it’s great to have an event that is designed for families and that allows for both kids and adults to have fun together”
says Charles of Trailhead Bicycle Company.
Start time is at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday the 18th from Downtown Cleveland. Teams will make their way to Lee University and back again along a mapped-out course in a timed, treasure hunt-style, pursuit of victory.
With “map” and “passport” in hand, each team will ride their bicycles from “destination” to “destination” accumulating the respective “stamps” at each activity required to move on. In keeping with the Festival
theme, apples are the common denominator to each activity and make up the core of the event.
Registration is going on now at Trailhead Bicycle Co. on 1st St. downtown and ends on October 15th. Race fee is $16 for the first two team members and $6 for each additional participant. One Adult (18+) and
one child (12-) are required per team. For more information call 423-472-9899.
Much thanks to Tim Ivy from Imago Photography and Jeff Hall from Chattanooga Integrated Medicine Center for their sponsorship of the event to make it happen.
Come out with us and ride some bikes and chase some apples!
